Federal law requires the College to broadly disseminate certain benefit plan notices to faculty and staff on an annual basis. See below for links to these notices.

Annual Medicare Part D Certification of Creditable Coverage
This is a notice to all active employees and covered dependents eligible for Medicare and enrolled in W&J’s Medical PPO/Prescription plan.

Notice of Coverage Options (Marketplace Notice)
As part of the Affordable Care Act, employers are required to provide faculty and staff a notice of the availability of a Health Insurance Marketplace (also called an Exchange) where individuals may purchase health insurance.

HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices
The College is required by law to provide notice to participants of the Plan’s duties and privacy practices with respect to covered individuals’ protected health information.

This act contains important protections for breast cancer patients who choose breast reconstruction with a mastectomy. 

Newborn and Mother’s Health Protection Act
The Newborns' and Mothers' Health Protection Act of 1996 requires group health plans that provide coverage for hospital stays following childbirth to provide coverage for a minimum period of time.
