What is Mock Trial?

Mock Trial is the re-enactment of a criminal or civil trial for competition. Similar to Debate or Forensics clubs, Mock Trial however takes place within the limits of a fictitious case and is presented to a set of judges or a jury, with people being awarded points based on presentation.

Mock Trial is a fantastic way to prepare for life as a lawyer, whether or not your intended field is Litigation or even law. Members of the W&J Mock Trial team travel around the US to other universities, meeting other like-minded students, and generally having a fun time. Mock Trial can specifically benefit those seeking a career in law, political science, and even theater, but becoming a good orator and being quick on your feet in a formal setting can benefit almost any profession.
