Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has selected Washington & Jefferson College as one of 25 universities nationwide to participate in this year's 2012 Campus Week (October 1st - October 5th), with the theme "Think Transatlantic--The US and Germany in the 21st Century," and the Department of Modern Languages would like to invite you to participate.

This week is dedicated to raising awareness about the past and continued importance of German-American relations. There will be different events each day, including a workshop, a film showing, a German lunch and a daily information desk, and students will also have a chance to win great prizes. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at  W&J will receive gift cards, and the first prize winners will be entered in the embassy's national contest. The national winner's essay will be published in a renowned political magazine, featured on www.Germany.info, and they will receive a financial reward.

For more information on the contests please visit Think Transatlantic@W&J. We look forward to your involvement, and we hope you will be thinking transatlantically with us next week!
