ITL 365 Digital Film
Project Description
During Intersession, students in Sam Fee's ITL 365 Digital Film class developed 20 minute short films. These were works of beginning storytelling, as well as exercises in technical development. Groups of students were responsible for planning and developing content, filming, video production, and editing of the digital films on the computer. The processing and organizing of content was an essential and meaningful part of the project. The topics students elected to cover included a look at reality television, a humorous look at conflict, and a documentary regarding the Intersession at W&J. The digital film projects illustrate the principles of situated learning involving social collaboration in an authentic setting, an additional pedagogical approach to the use digital video.
