Here are some helpful hints when backing up your JayMail data:

In order to import your JayMail over to your Gmail account, you will need to do the following:

 

While logged in as USERNAME@jay.washjeff.edu:

* Under the wheel icon on the top right of your JayMail, click on "Settings".

* Click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" link.  Be sure to enable POP and disable IMAP.

 

While logged in as USERNAME@gmail.com:

* Under the wheel icon on the top right of your Gmail, click on "Settings".

* Click on the "Accounts" link.

* Under "Check mail from other accounts (using POP3):," click on the "Add a POP3 mail account you own" button.  A box will pop up.

* The username is USERNAME@jay.washjeff.edu

* Enter your password

* The POP Server is pop.gmail.com

* The Port is 995

* Check the box labeled “Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
