At W&J, our faculty are a pivotal piece in the student community engagement experience. A number of faculty members utilize service-learning and community engaged learning approaches as part of their classroom instruction. If you are a faculty member interested in utilizing their practices in your classroom, the Office of Community Engagement can help.
As a member of the SPRING Community Engagement network, W&J College is constantly obtaining new resources and information in the areas of service-learning and community engagement, and can provide those resources to our W&J faculty and students. If you would like to see some of our resources, you can find a few below, or you can email email@example.com.
In addition to our online resources, the Office of Community Engagement has hard copy books and resources available for faculty as well. To obtain a list of our materials and titles, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

SPRING Community Engagement
This network promotes service-learning and community engagement among institutions of higher education in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region.
Many faculty and/or staff participate in service-based trips, both international and domestic. If the trip is not connected with a course and registered with Academic Affairs, we ask that a trip be registered as a "Service Experience" which includes W&J student organization sponsorship and Office of Community Engagement logistical support.
To register a trip as a Service Experience, please fill out the Service Experience Application.
