The Sakai Message Tool allows you to send messages from within Sakai to your students' email accounts. You can send messages to the entire class, individual members, and/or groups you set up within your Sakai course site (i.e. sections).

Step-by-step guide

  1. Visit your Sakai course site and press "Messages".

  2. Once in the Messages tool, you have multiple options. You can compose a new message, create a new folders, view messages in folders, or change settings or permissions. To compose a message, press "Compose Message" button.

  3. Follow the directions below to select the recipients.

  4. Create your message and press "Send" to send your message.
