ITS has been alerted to a phishing attack based on emails sent to W&J staff and faculty over the past several hours; this particular phishing email has the subject "Security Alert".

If you receive an email asking you to "confirm" or provide account credentials (usually items such as user names, passwords, banking or credit card account numbers, social security numbers, etc), please DO NOT click any links within the email or send your information or credentials via email to the address as requested in the email.
W&J ITS WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO PROVIDE YOUR ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS TO US IN AN EMAIL OR ON A WEBSITE OUTSIDE OF THE WASHJEFF.EDU DOMAIN, nor will we ever send you an email notifying you of maintenance or an issue with your W&J account from an email account outside of the domain.

If you received a phishing scam email and provided your W&J account credentials, please change your W&J password immediately.  Instructions for doing so are available here:

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the helpdesk.
